Access to Screen was founded by Sophie Moss, a black creative who previously worked in the film & television industry for over 5 years. As a black crew member, Sophie saw first-hand the lack of diversity in the industry and felt it was time to make a change.

A black creative whose work includes working in the film & television industry in costume, as an Alumni & Development Officer, School Employability Officer and Industry Progression Manager. With previous experience working with established production companies, securing students with paid work on large budget feature films and television productions.

Access to Screen is a free platform aimed at young black professionals, looking to start their career in the film & television industry and work their way up the career ladder. The aim is to provide a platform for young black professionals starting out in the industry with resources, paid work, events, and training in the UK and in the future beyond!

The platform provides advice and guides young black professionals in finding paid jobs in the film and television industry, free access to training from top industry professionals, opportunities to partner up with a mentor with a wealth of experience and up-to-date resources.

Members range from school leavers right through to film and television professionals, who have under 3 years of production experience.

Access to Screen is all about showcasing young black talent and giving production companies access to grow their diverse talented crew.
